Our Mission & Vision

Every decision we make — from how we care for our grounds to how we support grieving families — is grounded in an unwavering commitment to dignity, respect, and community heritage.

Our Mission

Bradwell Cemetery Association Inc. is dedicated to maintaining a dignified, beautifully kept resting place for the residents of Bradwell and the surrounding Saskatchewan community. We exist to preserve the memory of those who came before us, to support grieving families with genuine compassion, and to ensure that every individual — regardless of background or circumstance — is honored with the utmost respect and care.

As a registered Canadian nonprofit association (Charity No. 118816198RR0001), we are guided by our commitment to community stewardship: caring for our grounds to the highest standard, maintaining accurate and accessible burial records, and providing families with a peaceful, welcoming environment in which to visit and remember their loved ones. We take this responsibility seriously — it is a privilege we do not take lightly.

Whether we are coordinating an interment, clearing snow from pathways in the depths of a Saskatchewan winter, or helping a family locate a burial record from a century ago, every task we perform is an act of service to the community we love.

Our Vision

We envision a future where Bradwell Cemetery remains, for generations to come, a place of peace, heritage, and deep community pride — a living testament to the history, resilience, and spirit of the people who built this corner of the Saskatchewan prairie.

We are committed to ensuring that the cemetery's grounds, records, and traditions are preserved and improved with each passing year. We will continue to invest in the maintenance of our landscape, the digitization of our historical records, and the education of our community about the remarkable stories held within these grounds.

Our vision is one of continuity — a seamless bridge between the pioneers who rest here and the families of tomorrow who will come to remember them. We strive to be the kind of organization that this community can rely upon not just today, but for the next hundred years.

Why Families Trust Bradwell Cemetery

Losing someone is one of the most profound experiences a family can face. We are here to carry the burden of the details, so that you can focus on what matters most — remembering your loved one.

Over a Century of Experience

Since the early 1900s, we have guided hundreds of Saskatchewan families through the interment process with care, sensitivity, and local knowledge that cannot be found anywhere else.

Volunteer-Led, Community-Rooted

Our board and volunteers are your neighbors. We are not a corporate entity — we are members of the same community, serving the same families we grew up alongside.

Comprehensive Burial Records

We maintain detailed historical records of every interment at Bradwell Cemetery. Families and genealogical researchers can request records dating back to the earliest days of our cemetery's history.

Year-Round Grounds Care

From the warmth of July to the deep cold of a Saskatchewan January, our grounds are maintained with consistent care — pathways cleared, lawns tended, and the environment kept welcoming for all visitors.

Full Burial & Cremation Interment

We accommodate full ground burial, cremation interment, and family plot arrangements. Every service is coordinated with attention to the family's individual needs and wishes.

Registered Canadian Nonprofit

We are a formally registered nonprofit charity under Canadian law (Registry ID: 118816198RR0001), operating with full transparency and accountability to the Bradwell community we serve.

A Century of Community Service in the Heart of Saskatchewan

Bradwell Cemetery Association Inc. is a volunteer-run, registered nonprofit organization serving the community of Bradwell, Saskatchewan, and the surrounding rural region. Founded in the early twentieth century alongside the waves of settlement that shaped the Saskatchewan prairies, we have been the trusted stewards of our community's most sacred ground for over one hundred years.

Bradwell itself is a small, close-knit agricultural community in central Saskatchewan — the kind of place where people know their neighbors, support one another through hardship, and take pride in their shared heritage. Our cemetery reflects that spirit perfectly. It is a quiet, dignified space where the generations that built this community are honored and remembered.

Our association is governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors — local community members who give their time, energy, and expertise to ensure that the cemetery is maintained to the highest standard year after year. We operate with full transparency and accountability as a registered Canadian charity (Registry No. 118816198RR0001).

We believe that every person who has ever called Bradwell home deserves to be remembered with dignity. Our work is a labor of love, carried out in honor of the generations that built this community — and in trust for the generations that will follow.

Rooted in the Story of Saskatchewan

"A cemetery is the one place where the entire story of a community is told — from the very first settler to lay roots in this prairie soil, to the most recent generation that calls Bradwell home. Every headstone here is a chapter in our shared story."

When the first European settlers arrived in the Bradwell area in the late 1800s and early 1900s, they brought with them the need to establish the institutions of community life — schools, churches, and cemeteries. Bradwell Cemetery was among the first such institutions to take root, and it has grown steadily alongside the community it serves.

Today, the cemetery is home to the remains of farmers and their families, veterans of the First and Second World Wars, and generations of community members who shaped the fabric of rural Saskatchewan life. Walking through our grounds is walking through the history of Bradwell itself.
